Architectural Field Office is a Design & Research studio run by Killian O’ Dochartaigh focusing on community driven issues relating to land, housing and the city. This emerges from research interests in the exploration of fragmented sites, settlements & cities lying at thresholds of racial, ethnic and/or religious conflict. AFO designs, teaches, researches & publish on such matters and is working on projects & research in Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Northern Ireland. Killian received his PhD in Architecture from The Bartlett, University College London and is currently a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor at the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
